Write -6 - 8i in polar form

-6 = r cos α and  -8 = r sin α

r = sqrt( 6^2 + 8^2) = sqrt 100  = 10

α = arctan ( -8/-6) = arctan  (4/3) = 53.13 degrees

polar firm =  r ( cos α + i sin α)
                = 10(cos  53.18 +  i sin 53.18)
