On a scale drawing, 1 milliliters is 5 meters. If a line on the drawing is 4.5 centimeters, how many is it actually?

[tex]\frac{1mm}{5m} = \frac{4.5cm}{x}[/tex]

Convert cm to mm.

[tex]\frac{1mm}{5m} = \frac{45mm}{x}[/tex]

Solve for x:

[tex]x=\frac{5m}{1mm} \times 45mm[/tex]
[tex]x=\frac{225m \times mm}{1mm} = 225m[/tex]
